How to Apply - Undergraduate Students

 I take on 1-2 undergraduates per semester.  To apply to my lab, please contact Dr. Navara expressing why you are interested in working with us. Please include your current GPA and a resume or curriculum vitae (academic resume). If there is space in the lab, I will contact you for an interview.

Did you know that there is a way to get paid to do research in the lab?  See the opportunities below! 

First Year Scholars Program - designed to get students into the lab right away! 

Sophomore Scholars Program - students from the First Year Scholars Program can stay in the same lab and continue getting paid to work. 

Junior and Senior Scholars program - yet another continuation of the research opportunity!

Summer Undergraduate Research Program - spend 8 weeks getting paid to do research over the summer! 

College of Science and Math Mentor Protege Program - provides up to $4,000 to do research

Inspire Summer Scholars program - Teams of at least 4 undergraduate students work together with a faculty member to complete a project

Birla Carbon Scholars Program- a prestigious program that provides a $4500 stipend for the summer and $4000 for the research.
