Send me an email (knavara(at)uga(dot)edu) outlining why your are interested in working in my lab, what your current GPA is, current GRE scores (if you know them) and what prior experience (if any) you have had.  Also     include a resume or curriculum vitae.

 If I have space in the lab and potential stipend funding, competitive students will be invited for an interview. I will also ask for three letters of recommendation at this time.

After the interview, if you are invited to join the lab as a student, you will then apply to the graduate school, supplying official GRE scores, official transcripts, and I will add the 3 letters of recommendation to the packet.  We will also work together to form a statement of research interests, which will be sent to Ivy Blackwell in the Poultry Science Department.

After this point, the department will make a decision on your application, the decision will be forwarded to the graduate school, and they will make the final decision concerning your acceptance.
