What I can do for you

 During your time here at UGA and beyond, I will do my best to:

​

1.)    Give you experience in both lab and field settings

2.)    Provide advice and contacts towards the advancement of your career

3.)    Help with the development and execution of a research project

4.)    Hold weekly lab meetings to discuss current literature and ongoing projects

5.)    Provide a detailed letter of recommendation (dependant on your performance of course)

6.)    Show you the scientific “ropes”

What will be expected of you

​

 I will do my best to help you to become a successful scientist on a national level, but to reach that goal, I will expect YOU to:

​

1.)    Be in the lab and/or accessible for discussions/interactions with myself and other lab members

2.)    Attend weekly lab meetings

3.)    Sign up to help with both animal care and ongoing experiments

4.)    Sign up for at least two semesters in the lab.  (This is how I get to know you well enough to write a good letter of recommendation!)

5.)    Take proper care of research animals (!!!)

6.)    Maintain academic and professional honesty

7.)    Conduct your own research project and either (a) write a research paper or (b) give a talk on your work 

*Note – it is impossible to place a specific requirement for the number of hours you will need to work.  We work around your schedule.
